Mani and the Peloponnese
A good deal of it was written at a table on this terrace, which is the only reason the house appears in it at all.
We publish the TravelBlis guide to this region. It is a guide to a week or ten nights in the Mani, for somebody who would rather understand a place than tick it off, and it was built the slow way.
The sourcing pass found 277 named businesses on this peninsula in the open map data, and only 68 of them carried a website at all. Of the 206 places to eat and drink, 17 publish anything. So every one was checked by hand against its own site, and the ones that publish nothing are listed as publishing nothing rather than quietly dropped.
That is why the guide tells you to telephone at midday instead of booking from your sofa. It is not a quirk of the region. It is the region.

Nine parts, one shape
Why the towers were built, when to come, where to sleep, where to eat, what the people who live here actually do, days you can simply follow, the practical stuff, what to skip, and where every fact came from with the date it was read.
Every source dated
The last part of the book is the source register. Nothing is asserted without a line saying where it came from and when it was checked. The two festival dates on this site were re-checked on 18 September 2026 for exactly that reason.
Not a shop
This page exists because the house is in the book and it would be odd not to mention it. We are not going to sell you a guidebook on a villa website. When it is out, there will be a link here and that will be that.
